FRANCISCO CAJAS LARA, Born in Quito-Ecuador, 67 years ago. Pseudonym Pancho Cajas or Cajas. He trained as an architect, a profession that he developed parallel to that of a cartoonist, from 1976, he worked in the newspaper Últimas Noticias de Quito as an editorial cartoonist and sports characters (1977-1994), then in the newspaper El Comercio also as a graphic editorialist and cartoonist of characters, especially international (1994-present). He was a member of the Cartoons & Writers Syndicate (1987-2002), today he is part of Cartonclub and Courrier International, his work has been published in newspapers such as Le Monde, Le Depeché Du Midi Nord-Est, from France; Atlantic Journal, Boston Globe and Los Angeles Time of the United States; The Japan Times of Japan, and in magazines such as Newsweek in Spanish, Gatopardo, Vistazo, Diners and with some regularity in Courrier International in Paris. He has won 4 national awards and 7 international awards, in France 1, the United States 4 and Argentina (SIP) 2.
