Born in 1989, he was born in Catanzaro and lives and works in Fossato Serralta. Cannistrà is a painter, sculptor and illustrator, specializing at the Academy of Fine Arts of Catanzaro, where he obtained first and second level degrees in painting (both with honors) and a further second level degree in sculpture (with honors) . A national and international award-winning artist, Leonardo investigates issues of a social nature, focusing on the representation of precariousness and the loss of identity. Parallel to his career as a contemporary artist, Cannistrà, with the pseudonym of Fiuto, carries on that of illustrator and caricaturist, a passion he has had since he was a child, and which over time he has perfected, to the point of receiving numerous awards, which have seen several times on the podium of important contests such as Caricaturama Showdown 3000! and Caricatumania, in which the best caricaturists compete at an international if not world level. Cannistrà has illustrated numerous book covers and was a cartoonist for local newspapers such as Linea Sud. He has also won prestigious awards, participations and awards in Italy and abroad. Read more
