Graphic designer, poster designer and illustrator born in Parma on November 22, 1899, died in Milan on November 5, 1984. Erberto Carboni was an Italian architect, designer and advertiser, forerunner of Italian advertising campaigns, he tied his name to famous slogans such as With Barilla it's always Sunday and It's always time for the Pavesini, he also forged a strong bond with Rai for the which created famous logos and the first television acronyms. In 1921, immediately after graduating from the Paolo Toschi Institute of Fine Arts in Parma, he made his debut as a caricaturist, then became involved in advertising graphics and began his career as an illustrator. Between the second half of the thirties and sixties, Carboni signed the advertising campaigns of numerous large companies, often becoming the promoter of their growth on the national and international market. He collaborated in particular with Olivetti, in 1935, with Shell, in 1937, with Motta, in 1939, with Barilla (from 1952 to 1960), with Bertolli, from 1952 and with Pavesi (from 1958 to 1970 ). Precisely in contact with the industry, he developed his extraordinary talent as an advertising technician. At a time when agencies as we understand them today did not yet exist, he prepared some campaigns destined to make history. Just two examples: "Con pasta Barilla è sempre domenica", "é sempre l'ora dei Pavesini".Read more
