Rino Montanari

1 edition · 5 works

Born in Diolo di Soragna but moved to Fidenza at a young age, he lived life in Burägh as a protagonist for years. He was a veteran of the terrible Russian campaign, one of the few survivors. "From 1943 to 1945 he too had to deal with a very humorous holiday in a German concentration camp in Poland". Despite the hardships suffered and the terrible experiences that he had to face, he has always shown the more serene side of an open, generous and funny character, hiding within himself those dark memories that have accompanied him for a long time. From an early age he proved to be very skilled in handling pencils and brushes, a gift that he has refined over the years by becoming caricaturist, a witty witness of his time, of the characters and of his city life. Witness to the satire of costume, he has always been open to smiles in a world often closed in the barriers of hatred and daily madness ». Esteemed and loved by his fellow citizens, Rino was undoubtedly one of the most loved and representative interpreters of Fidentine life, capturing all aspects with his copious production.Read more
