Mariom, this is his stage name, was born in Gaeta (Latina - Italy) on 8 September 1957. Since he was a child he has shown remarkable artistic skills that, over the years, has always cultivated as a self-taught person. After obtaining a diploma from the Nautical Technical Institute in 1976, he sailed as Officer of the Merchant Navy until 1982. In October 1984 he enrolled in the Corpo della Guardia di Finanza. His unbridled love for art, led him, with caricature and humorous design, to win the first national success in 1994 in Verbania. That was the trampoline of a very profitable artistic career, climbing on the highest steps of many podiums also international, such as Argentina, Brazil, China, Turkey, Colombia, Iran ... just to name a few. The podium of greatest importance regards the first prize received at the Chamber of Deputies of Rome, in 2011, for having participated in the international humorous competition on the Unification of Italy, sponsored by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. In 2015 he won the international competition of Gallarate, dedicated to the Milan expo, where over 400 artists from over 26 nations took part. A recent 2 ° prize int.le obtained it at the World Humor Award in '17 in Salsomaggiore. Even in the field of painting has not gone unnoticed by industry critics, obtaining many awards and acclaim in numerous exhibitions and, in 2015, received the nomination of an Official Navy Painter, for merit, at the Marine Command of Rome. He has been a Knight of the Constantinian Order of Saint George since 2015. Read more
